The Right Fit is Always in Style
These days it’s hard to keep up with the latest trends, and unless you have the budget of a celebrity, I would stick with the sensible side of trendy which is current and put together. This is a look that suits everybody and can be achieved with minimal effort and a moderate budget. One of the key element’s to achieving a look that is current and put together is fit. No Matter what your size or shape, the right fit will make the most of your figure.
Here’s a few tips to ensure your clothes fit in all the right places:
• “Too tight is never right” it shows too much and draws attention to areas that are least appealing
• Big and baggy doesn’t hide anything, it just makes you look big and baggy. Wear clothes that fit close to your body but still give you room to move freely
• Hemlines should end at the narrowest part of the body, for a more slimming look, lengthen or shorten sleeves, shorts and skirts below or above the widest part of the arm or leg.
• To elongate the leg, full length pants should cover at least half of your shoe or heel
•
• If you have trouble finding pants that fit, always choose the size that fits your widest part then have the waist or hips taken in
• To create a more shapely waistline look for jackets that are tailored and fitted at the waist, pay attention to stitching, details and length to be sure they emphasize your best parts
• “You can’t look good in your outerwear if don’t have good underwear” – get fitted for a bra every 3-5 years, your “girls” should be sitting between your underarm and your elbow
